Check This Out!

Loving with No Strings Attached

By:  Kari Kauffman

It’s amazing how many people will show up on a hot day for a cold bottle of water!  A few of our CaB church members grabbed water bottles and hit the streets, connecting and praying for people along the way.  Others stayed back just outside of Collins Thrift Store with a table stocked with pink lemonade, waters, cookies, and chips to give out and show love to our neighbors in Irvington.  We talked with people who were walking by or waiting for the city bus.
Penny, one of the people we encountered, just started a 12-step program.  She wanted prayer that she would stay true to her program and true to God.  We took the opportunity to bless her and remind her that she is loved by God and that he is proud of her.  Seeing the presence of God come upon her was so precious! I love those moments!
Another person who received prayer was a man with hip pain.  At first, no breakthrough was seen.  The team persisted to pray and believe for healing.  A few minutes later, he was able to stand up straight and walked off with significant pain relief. Praise Jesus!
People are hungry to know God and whether they realized it or not, they want to see Him move!  They are waiting to hear how much they are loved and are sons and daughters of God. That is why we do what we do.  It’s not about promoting our church or help us feel good about ourselves.   We’re there because we love Jesus, and we love our city, and we want our people to know how much they are loved by their Heavenly Father!  We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 3rd from 1pm-3pm for our next outreach and help us accomplish this mission!

Riley Helmuth and James Gregg pray for a man carrying a cane on September 5, 2015 in Baltimore, MD.

Fall Small Groups

If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late! Beeline to the Welcome Table at the back of the church and jot your name down! We'll help you find the right group for you in one of three amazing groups in homes surrounding Baltimore. Small groups are a great place to get to know others, become known, get cared for, receive prayer, and best of all, HAVE FUN! While doing all those things, we'll also have an opportunity to get to know ourselves better and discover what we were made to do! As a group, we'll journey together through 'Destiny Finder', a book/workbook/video series created by Michael Brodeur. Click here to visit the Destiny Finder website for more information. Visit the back table to buy your book for $10 and receive your free workbook! Contact Jeremy & Cheryl at jerandcher@gmail.com.
